Since the concrete pumping truck is supported by four outriggers during operation, if the ground is not tight, the concrete pump truck heavy weight will easily cause the outriggers to sink, thus resulting in the concrete pump equipment overturning and rollover.

If the construction site with soft ground, square timbers and support plate can be placed under the outriggers to increase the contact area between the outriggers and the ground, which can effectively prevent the above problems.

When driving on narrow roads, the driver should be with a low speed to avoid rollover. Also The boom needs to change its posture every day, and the center of gravity of the whole vehicle varies with the boom posture. This is easily cause to truck rollover.

High Voltage Power Line cause Concrete Pumping accidents

There are many casualties caused by the boom contacting the high-voltage power line every year.

As the pump truck is heavy and vibrates during operation, it is easy for the boom to hit the high power voltage line.

To avoid this problem, it is still necessary for the concrete pump operator to observe the safety operation procedures.

As the concrete pump truck needs to raise the placing boom during the placing operation, the boom is easy to get close to the high-voltage wire near the construction site, resulting in an electric shock accident.

The pumping operation shall be far away from high-voltage lines, high-voltage line towers, transformers and other high-voltage and low-voltage power equipment as far as possible.

Summer is the season most likely to cause the concrete pump fire. It is not only the high temperature of the external environment, and the high temperature generated by the concrete pump itself, but also the ignition of some electrical circuits.

Before starting driving or operation, if you smell gasoline in the vehicle, you must stop the engine immediately to check whether the chassis has oil stains seeping out.

If there is a smell of burning and plastic in the car, pay attention to it.

Blue or black smoke is emitted from the front of the vehicle during driving, indicating that a fire is about to start soon. At this time, turn off the power quickly, take out the fire extinguisher from the rear compartment to find the fire source and extinguish it.

Remember to maintain the concrete pump regularly to reduce the risk of fire.

Tips for preventing the concrete pump from self-fire

Keep the concrete pump truck clean and tidy. There are several kinds of oils on the pump truck, including diesel, hydraulic oil, grease and other gear oil. In case of fire, these oils are the booster. Therefore, the daily concrete pump maintenance needs to immediately clean up these greasy dirt, eliminate the fire source.

Privately connected circuit is common phenomenon. Generally, the circuit is privately connected from the chassis battery, and the nonstandard wire specification is adopted, which leads to the heating of the circuit when using electricity and causes the fire.

If the fire in a small area, can use fire extinguishers to put out the fire. Without fire extinguishers can use sand, stone, soil, etc. If the fire is too large, do not put out the fire privately. It is better to wait for professional firefighters.

Concrete Pumping Boom Break Accidents

There are different reasons for the concrete pumping truck boom accidents, including the quality problem of the equipment boom, and the wrong operation which caused the boom to collide with other objects.

Due to the erosion of rainwater and hydrogen sulfide in the air, the pump truck is easy to cause oxidation corrosion, and then the concrete pumping boom bearing strength will be decreases.

In most cases, the operator's improper operation causes the boom to collide with other objects, and finally causes the boom to break. 

If the boom load exceeds its designed maximum value, it is easy to cause the boom to break in a long time. Never use the concrete pump truck boom pipe as a lifting arm to lift heavy objects.

Concrete Pumping Traffic Accidents

The concrete pumping truck is a heavy equipment vehicle. The chassis should also be inspected and maintained more, including the wear of tires, the sensitivity of the brake system, etc. At the same time, the concrete pumping truck has many blind spots when driving, which also requires the driver to flexibly deal with various emergencies and traffic.

Tires are aged and worn seriously, and will burst during driving, causing safety accidents. Remember to check the condition of the tyres regularly and replace them.

When driving and operation, you should abide by the traffic laws. Avoid playing with your mobile phone,  sending and receiving text messages. Do not fatigue driving, otherwise accidents and tragedies may easily occur.

Hose Whipping Tragedies

When first starting, after moving the pump, or whenever air may have entered the line, keep everybody a reasonavle and prudent distance away from the discharge hose until concrete is flowing smoothly. If you do not pay attention to the operation skills, it is easy to cause hose blockage or even explosion.

Tips of concrete pouring

• Contact the front hose operator when starting or stopping pumping concrete.
• It is strictly forbidden to bend the rubber hose to avoid burst explosion.
• Never stand at the corner of the building, hold the end hose, shake the hose, which may cause the operator to fall.

Concrete pumping accident with tired operation, especially at night.

Due to the arrangement of construction period and the characteristics of concrete solidification, it is impossible to avoid concrete pouring at night. Working at night is easy to be tired and inattentive. Ensure the whole construction site has good lighting. Reduce work intensity and avoid fatigue.
